From the immigration officer's point view, he may have a concern that you only turn in the selective pages.
For example, if somebody applied a visa at the first time and was rejected, the rejecting stamp was on the last page of the passport. Then he may not turn in that copy.
I don't know. but I think it makes sense to turn in a full copy
