I have H-1b status and want to go to Canada for a month so that I can recapture the time when I am not in US to extend my H-1b. My questions are
(1) I do not need to turn in my I-94 when I leave US?
As long as you come back within 30 days.
(2) Do i get entry/exit Canada stamps on my Passport?
yes, if you arrive by air; no by land.
(3) Should I take flight to Vancouver or shoud I drive to Vancouver to enter Canada? Is there any difference through immigration?
If getting your passport stamped is your concern, then I answered it in question 2.
