很難預測。但我就如此試過。歐洲各國好像都不是很介意你還未買票。這是荷蘭領事館網站上的原話：
Important: if you are not sure that your visa will be approved, do not buy an airline ticket yet, bring a confirmed airline reservation which can be cancelled.

在此前一段，他們強調 Proof that you can proceed to the next country after you have visited the Schengen countries。 顯然你會安然回到美國，顯然你也能從荷蘭去希臘。所以，你隻要給他們一份打印好的itinerery 就可以。

隻要你能證明你不會stuck in Holland, or Schengen area, 你不買票也行。

另外，這是西班牙領事館的一句話： Official itinerary or airplane ticket for the entire trip (in order to apply for the visa, you do not have to purchase the airplane ticket, but you must have a reservation showing confirmed names and dates of travel). 我相信，洛杉磯有很多歐洲領事館，不一定非要取道荷蘭領事館。有的領事館規定鬆一些，就可以拿到簽證而少費事(e.g., portugal)。各國都允許transit 簽證。

退一萬步，如果他們看你沒買票想拒你，他們就不會收你的申請和錢，所以，你總還有招。
