Will approved 140 be void by 485 denial?

In case someone got 485 RFE after he lost his job and his 485 was denied, would his 140 be void? Can he file another 485 once he finds another similar job with the same 140? Or at least he can keep the old PD? Let's assume his old employer did revoke the 140.
