I filed G-28 to terminate attorney from representing of my pending I-485 application. Unfortunately, the G-28 form was returned back to me with the following reason.
"Dear Sir or Madam:
Thank you for your letter advising of your client’s change of address. However, because of the confidentiality provision of the Immigration Reform & Control Act of 1986, we must have a G-28 form completed by you and your client. Upon receipt of the properly filed G-28 the Service Center will be able to make the necessary changes in the database as you request."
Is there anything wrong with my G-28 form? I attached a copy with this post. It looks like USCIS thinks that I am a attorney and I am changing address for my client. Did I sign at wrong place or should I request a signature from previous attorney?
Thanks for your attention.
