綠卡後要不要給孩子更名：歡迎討論！！

to 沒啥了不起 and 難兄難弟:
你們太偏激了，沒那麽嚴重。正象你們所說的，名字是符號，是為了別人叫著方便。孩子長在美國，連中文都不太會講，自己常常抱怨中文名字被別人叫錯，很不舒服，好容易有了綠卡了，能改了，為什麽不能尊重孩子，給他改改呢？如果你們是自己上未拿到綠卡，心理鬱悶，我能理解。但道理上，我們不該偏激。
我們這些做父母的，對中文有“情結”，大多不會為自己改名，但是不能防礙孩子吧！其實，我們自己也深有感受，自己在美國常常名字很難被人記住。這也是難於溶入主流的一個因素。台灣人在這方麵比較開明。我們大陸人，自己跟自己過不去（我自己也一樣）,但是如果為孩子的一生著想，是否該行動了呢？歡迎有這方麵經驗和考慮的朋友來說說。。。
