小白兔： Qs about I-824/following-to-join

Hi XiaoBaiTu,

I-824 petition(following-to-join) was approved by USCIS on Nov.1,2007. And the Approval notice said USCIS has notified the consulate.

But I checked with the Consulate in GuangZhou and the National Visa Center yesterday. Both of them said they did NOT have any record for my case in their system.(I told them the receipt # of I-824, and my SSN#)

An officer in NVC said they never process following-to-join case.However, USCIS officer said they forwarded the approval notice to NVC first and NVC would contact the Consulate. Why not consistent?

XiaoBaiTu, could you clear it for me? thanks a lot.
