In general, I-485 with H-1B/L-1 is the best combination. The risk of I-485 with F-1/J-1 is a little higher.

CP is faster than I-485 and very saft and suitable for F-1/J-1 case. But with I-485 you get AP+EAD, you're flexible to work and study in U.S. (including your family). It's a leverage between speed, safe, and convenience.

Since you're NIW, no labor certificate involved. I-485 risk isn't that high. Remember, wait at least 60 days (better half year), otherwise they can deny your I-485 for cheating of immigrant intent while applying changing/extending non-immigration status or re-admission as non-immigrant
