Myself:
Currently 2nd H-1B, valid until Nov-30-08. 6 yrs Maxed out date Jul-30-2009.
NIW filed Sep-2006, approved Nov-2007.
I-485s (me and wife) filed Jul-2007.

My wife:
Used to be H-4. Oct-2006 changed to H-1B (non-profit). Valid until my maxed out date (Jul-30-2009)

After reading your blog, understood much better. Want you suggestions. Next summer plan to visit parents in China with APs (Thanks for your blog about AP). I plan to submit 3 yrs H-1B renewal for myself before leaving US. But if VB is current, I can't. Should I and can I submmit early next year, like Feb? I really like the conveinece of 3yrs extension rather than renewal of EAD every year. And I doubt I will get GC before next Nov. In addition, the cost of EAD is on me and H-1B is on my employer.

Secondly, for my wife's situation, my understading of your answer is her H-4 will not be counted into her 6 yrs H-1B and she could renew beyond 6 yrs if other requirements are met. Please correct me if I am wrong.
