Promotion

I need help.

I'm in H1b visa. I have a pending I140 and just submitted I-485 in July.
My company is going to promote me from IT Developer to Sr. IT Devleoper (I'm still doing the same job). Will this violate my H1B visa and create issue with my green card. Should I switch to EAD? Would it help?
