Hi everybody,
I am a F-1 student. I did my internship last spring and summer semesters and got paid only for the summer. But I did not apply for CPT because I didn't know about it (actually I got permission from university human resource and now I know it was only for on-campus and my employer did not know it either). The internship was a required course for every student in the program. Now when I filed my application for social security and medicare tax refund, the IRS asked me to submit additional documents (I think they need the work permit). I know I have made a stupid mistake. But anyone can give me some advice to do something and make up this mistake???
Thanks for your adive!
