infopass at Houston local office about NC

I went to Houston local office twice about NC. Unfortunately, I met the same local official for the two visits. He told me he had no clue about my namecheck based on the infomation shown in his computer. I doubt that the offical just won't like to release any information to me. Did anybody have similar experiences? Or I just asked a "bad" person?
