請問怎樣reschedule biometrics appointment

I-140和I-485在2005年5月送VSC(NIW), I-140已批, I-485現被轉到TSC. 第一次手印在2005年10月做的. 剛收到移民局的信要做biometrics. 因為要回國兩個月, 想把appointment推遲到7月份. 剛打了移民局的電話[phone]), 被接電話的小姐告之她不能幫我改日期. 請問是不是一定要寫信到移民局去, 寫這封信有什麽要求嗎?
