Some ppl said 拿到綠卡cannot 馬上換工作

Some people said 拿到綠卡 can not 馬上換工作. I need to stay with the same employer for at least 6 months, otherwise I will face trouble when I apply for US citizenship. Some people even said I need to stay with the same company for at least 1 year after getting the GC. Is it a true?
