last year I called EDD to ask them if I could get it,
and they said I qualified to get the unemployment insurance benefits as long as I have an EAD card.

I just got the EAD card and called EDD today,
they asked my A number, but I didn't give it to EDD yet
before I make sure if it will affect the ability of getting a green card.

I heard many persons have ever received the unemployment insurance benefits while they were laid off. Is it a public money assistant?
From my understanding, it should be a kind of insurance paid by your former employer.
