I am in LC/EB2 and filed I140/485 concurrently last year in Texas Center. I140 has been approved last year.
I just found a USCIS update notice:
On September 30, 2006, we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to our office in LINCOLN, NE for them to schedule and conduct your interview. Scheduling can take several months. Our office in LINCOLN, NE will notify you when they schedule your interview or take other action on your case.
I have a few questions. Xiaobaitu and other daxia, would you help? Thank you!
1) I live closer to Texas than Lincoln, NE. Why did Texas center transfer my case to Lincoln, NE and interview me by NE?
2) Will I have a new I485 filing date as Sept.30? Will NE give me a new notice?
3) My priority date, I remember was written in I140. Will NE know my priority date since Texas only transfered my I485?
4) How about the name check? Since the name check was initiated by Texas center, how would FBI know they should send my case to NE?
