Thank you for Xiaobaitu’s reply. I feel much better. Actually, I got into a little trouble for my I485 petition. I searched this topic in the forum. But I never found same case as mine. I filed two I-140’s EB1a and NIW and one I-485 concurrently binding to NIW in May, 2005. I got RFE for my NIW and approval on my EB1a little bit later. So my lawyer and I decided to withdraw NIW petition and to switch my 485 to my approved EB1a. However, USCIS didn’t do the switch and denied our NIW and 485. My lawyer contacted USCIS and argued with them. After review of my case, USCIS still stuck to their original denial. Then my lawyer asked Senator Office to help. Unfortunately, again USCIS didn’t change their decisions. So six months after the denial, we filed another 485 base on my approved Eb1a. My questions are: Will all these affect my new 485 petition? Especially now I want to change my job. As Eb1a, should I change my job in the same field? How does “the same field” define? Could you give me an example? Many thanks again.
Ask xiaobaitu again: My 485 was denied and new 485 pending
