Yes. I have the "h1b admitted....until...." stamped on my passport. And the officer who interviewed me told me that I could come back again with this stamp and I797 from Canada and Mexico, cause I specifically asked him what I should do next time. He also said if I could get a visa in Toronto would be better (then will be no confusion at all) and he did not expect any problem for me to get the visa. (But who knows.) The only problem is the first officer at the counter took my I-94(s) and I forgot to ask about that issue.
