H4 renew?

Hi,all,
I am holding H1 visa.I changed my H1 visa when I changed my job. At that time, my son's H4 visa did not renewed. Now his H4 will be expired in the near future.We have already got I140 approved, but I485 still pending. Now my question is: whether I need to get my son's H4 renewed? How to do the H4 renew only?
