There are several ways to do that:
1. Check with your local INS. But you need to provide some evidence for family emergency, i.e. Dr's note. DON"T walk in with reason as you want to see your parents after 2-3 years of seperation. YOu need some evidence for EMERGENCY. I tried that but unfortuantely my local office doesn't deal with AP from employment-based I-485. So you have to check with them first. The materials required, except Dr. note, is the same as listed in I-131 application form. You might want to bring a money order instead of personal check just in case.

2. Call INS and get a fax number to fax your materials for emergeny handling. I never done that but someone here said that worked for him. So you can try.

3. Send you application to where your I-485 is pending ASAP. I got mine in 3 weeks. So you might be able to get that very soon.
