Yes, I of course want my maple card, the reason I am asking is just that in case I can't receive it before my visa appointment time.

Also for your answer to my #4 question, you said you don't think that they will refuse my landing. Just want to clarify a little bit: the second time when I enter Canada by car, it will be for my visa appointment with US consulate, so it is not the "landing" that serves as the last step in Canada immigration (maybe by "landing" you just mean enterting Canada?) So are you still confident that they will let me enter Canada with the rental car (I heard they have the right to refuse Canadian PR to enter)?
