Dear Xiaobaitu, Worthit, fsa2000, and lovewind, please help!

Dear All,

I got my RFE for Officer 590 at VSC, the same as xuexiangnan. Does this officer like to reject a lot of cases? I am very nervous.

The 590 requested me to submit the citation history of my papers and impact factors of the journals which published my papers.

Since 2002, I started to publish English papers. Now, I have 3 English papers and 14 citations for these 3 papers. The earlier publication, the more citations. Do you think if 14 citations are enough? My major is not a basic and hot major and can not expect a lot of citations. Some citations were made by my previous Ph.D. lab. Will the officer find this? In my citation record, only the first 3 authors are on the record, my old boss’s name is not on the record.

The impact factors for the journals publishing my papers are about 2.5. Is it OK? My major is an applied science and can not get published in good journals like Nature.

When I first submitted my application last September, in my CV, I mentioned I have submitted 2 papers and submitted these 2 manus to them. Now, the officer requested for the updated information for these 2 papers. But these two papers are still in revision. Is that a problem? But I have another paper got accepted (I am the 5th author, but I did not mention it when I submitted my application). Do I need to mention it this time? Does it help? Because I am only the 5th author.

The officer also requested me to submit the evidence of any new significant contributions I have made sine the date of filing. When I first submitted, the drug I am in charge of is under Phase II clinical trials, now, it got good results in Phase II clinical trials. Can I submit the formal report of Phase II clinical trials to them? Does it help?

BTW, I got my Ph.D. in the U.S., does it help for my application?
