B1 extension works, but may have negative impact for later

J1 is not very good, if he want to come back later. H1B, if he doesn't get pay in US, NO. You have to fill in your wage in the form, and H1 have to pay all the taxes like all americans.

Believe it or not, the best way, come back and apply for another B1. You come back everytime on time, will leave you a good record and make future visa application much easier. Of course, you have to come up with a good reason why you need to apply a second B1 in a short period of time.
