H1B如果批準了，我是否可以不通過公司拿到H1B？

12月1日剛剛到一家小公司工作，公司幫助申請了H1B，目前還不知道消息。目前想離開這家公司。

請問：

是否要等H1B下來後離開，如果H1B下來之前離開公司，公司會不會扣住H1B？

如果批準了，我是否可以不通過公司拿到H1B？
