對走勞工卡的人來說，140不重要，重要的是勞工卡，沒有勞工卡就沒有140和485。
對NIW以及傑出人才來說，140最重要，沒有140批準的前提，就沒有485。

討論綠卡申請，實際上大多數人討論的是140而不是485。

隻有一個大概是例外，就是護士申請綠卡。140 幾乎100%批準，而485取決於又沒有visascreen證書。
