請問申請綠卡大部分人都要等5年時間麽？

我學化學，明年PhD畢業，可能去當博後，也可能去公司。
剛看到綠卡申請的政策有變動，很多種要排期5年，所以在這裏想問個大致情況。

我原聽師兄說可以先到學校裏麵做博後，隻要paper多，可以走第一優先，辦綠卡很快就可以下來，現在還是這樣麽？我也不是特別優秀，但現在有第一作者paper3篇，估計將來一年2篇應可以。

如果去公司，據說多半是走EB2的道路，要等很長時間。

抱歉，我對於這些東西都是一知半解，肯定有說錯的地方。隻是想請各位指點一下，以後大多數人申請綠卡都要排期5年麽？按照我現在條件，那條路可短些？謝謝。

另外，請問工卡大致需要幾年可以下來？我聽說有些職位不用綠卡，有工卡就可以申請。
