fingerprint appointment

有沒有最近遞交485受到收據的, 請共享一下信息. 收據上是這樣說的:

If this receipt is for an I-90, I-485, or I698 application
Biometrics – (fingerprint, photo, signature)
The next step is to have your biometrics taken at a USCIS Application Support Center (ASC).
Call customer service at 1.800.375.5283 to schedule your appointment…………………….

而網上卻是這樣說的.

After USCIS receives your application, USCIS will provide you with an appointment letter with the location of the nearest USCIS authorized fingerprint site. Please read the instructions in the appointment letter, and take it to USCIS authorized fingerprint site when you go to your fingerprint appointment.

請問到底該不該make the appointment?
