well. what you said is not the case here. It is fine to have company B to apply GC for you when still in Comany A.

But, It is NOT FINE if you quit company A and go to company B even before LC is approved, and still go ahead to have the company A to sign I-140 and I-1485 for you. INS can charge you and Company A for Fraudulent Intent.

If the thing is so easy as you think, why people have to wait untill I-140 is approved?? If as you said, why not all of us quit the job and forget about I-140. What a joke!
