What is the difference between 1) and 2)
1. you worked in company A. A files a LC and promise that to use this LC for you even you leave the A.
2. You are working in A. And company B sponsor your GC. B has to file LC right?

We followed 180-days rule. coz it is save to GC applicants. If 140 is approved, 485 is pending more than 180 and you are working in similar area, no matter what happens the employer can not revoke your GC application. Except this situation, your employer can revoke GC application anytime. Even you got GC and resigned very soon.

BTW you are right, technically, you can leave the employer who sponsors you GC anytime, iff the employer promises you to keep sponsoring ur GC. But it is not save.
