通常於4月在哥倫比亞大學新聞學院揭曉的美國普利策新聞獎於5月4日公布。普利策獎代表著全球新聞界最高榮譽,今年最大的贏家是《紐約時報》,在總共21個獎項中摘得3冠。路透社則憑著一組記錄香港反送中運動的照片,贏得了突發新聞攝影獎。
