DJ Fed's Beige Book Cites Resilient Labor, Rising Prices -- Market Talk
1429 ET - Fed districts say in the latest Beige Book that employment was "little changed to slightly up" and prices increased at modest, moderate or unchanged speed. The comments are likely to support the view that interest rate cuts will take a while to come about. "Economic activity was little changed since the previous report, but uncertainty around international trade policy was pervasive across reports," according to the publication. A hold in the next Fed meeting, in a couple of weeks, is priced at 94% on CME's FedWatch. Odds of a June cut are priced at 55%, down from 61% a week ago. (paulo.trevisani@wsj.com; @ptrevisani)
