Reading WSJ's article on SMCI, this is getting serious

  • Bob Luong, former SMCI Sr Director of Sales Engineering, is accusing his former employer of manipulating its financial statements, claiming he was fired after bringing it up to his superiors. He is now fighting to take the case to federal court, where all the evidence can be made public.
  • All the claims made in Hinderburg's report are consistent to the lawsuit filing brought forward by Bob.
  • Day after Hinderburg report, SMCI delayed 10-K filing
  • Dept of Justice now stepped in, investigating Bob's claim. According to the WSJ, Luong's lawsuit alleges that the company improperly recognized revenue from 2020 to 2022, including booking sales that had not been completed and shipping incomplete equipment to customers. Keep in mind that Bob runs sales engineering for SMCI

This does not look good at all. Stay far away until dust is settled
