 IT department. If they didn't blindly trust the software patch without testing, they would not run into the problem. More importantly, it took much longer for Delta to recover from the mess than for other companies.

This reminded me of Southwest's ancient scheduling system in December, 2022, which caused massive cancellation during that holiday season.
