EVs are better for the environment than ICE just from an emissions centralization perspective. Even if EVs were just as dirty (and they aren't) … Is it more achievable to maintain a clean output of a single electric power station or ten bajillion random ass tailpipes that the owners absolutely cannot be counted on to keep in good repair?
Yes. Toxic chemicals are used to make batteries. Yes “the power has to come from somewhere”. yes, it has much shorter life span than ICE Car. yes, it requires more repair cost than ICE Car... ...These are not the 4d chess arguments they are made out to be.
