This is your 401k plan specific

If your 401k allows, you have to open a brokerage within 401k. Once opened, you can trade ETF, CD, tbills etc. just like any outside brokerage account (but have link with your 401k plan to transfer $ to or from). Ask your Fido rep and/or your 401k admin for this capability. It's easy to open the link once confirmed.
