我今天簡直就是瘋狂的一天, 本來今天我是要從 Indiana flying United airlines into Chicago, then hop on Qatar airline to Bali, well the United flight had a mechanical issue, first delayed 1 hr, then 4hrs,
originally my plan was to make connection in Chicago, I gave myself 6 hrs because every time I fly out of this small regional airport, something always go wrong.
So soon as they announced delayed 4 hrs, we got deboarded, I called my office and have someone come pick us up drive me to Chicago instead, which is 4hrs away, after deboarded the plane, we were told we need to wait for United to unload our check in luggages.
After like 45 mins and I said let's not worry about the luggages so we hop on a truck and drove to Chicago empty handed, on the way I called Qatar and told them we maybe 10mins late according to the check in schedule, they said they will send a email to Chicago crews, 4 hrs later Anyway we were still 15 mins away from the airport, Qatar counter called and ask how far we are, as we are the last 2 person still not checked in.
So they waited on us and we make it to the gate with 10 mins to spare, they already halfway into boarding, lol.
I even look up what other flights going to Bali today in case we didn't make it, the only airline can get us out of Chicago tonight is Turkish airline in Econ at 75000 points, But 23 hours flying time in Econ is killing.
If we waited just a bit longer on the luggages, our 12000$ tickets would've been vanished in thin airs, This Qatar flight I booked last year, exactly 350 days out, Qatar QSuites are very limited availability, usually only 2 biz class seats per flight can book with points.
