我的幾個小貨箱被扣在海關，是通過DHL發過來的。DHL要我出示SSN卡

的COPY，　我問了DHL為什麽，他們說：

Unfortunately US customs REQUIRES that every shipment that enters the US be identified through a social security number or EIN/IRS number. The reason why a copy of the card is requested is because in the event of a custom audit DHL will he held responsible to show verification of the number if unable to do so there is a minimal fine of $10,000.00 for every shipment that came in under that social or IRS number. Please visit the customs website at www.cbp.gov and in the search engine type requirements to imports and there you will see a social security number or IRS number is required to clear customs. In the meantime keep in mind that we only have until 06/12/09 to clear with customs if unable to do so the shipment will have to be returned to sender.

那是不是以後從DHL發過來的貨都是出示SSN 卡的COPY啊？大家有沒有這種情祝？
