According to budget.house.gov, illegal immigrants may contribute around $321 billion to the US GDP, but this doesn't account for their tax contributions or the benefits they provide to US-born citizens. In fact, some say that illegal immigrants' state tax payments don't cover the costs of their presence, and that they aren't a net economic benefit to the US. However, others say that undocumented immigrants contribute to the economy in many ways, including as workers, consumers, and entrepreneurs.
