昨天晚上，和前兩個周末一樣，正點進入兒子和他的朋友的體育評論的廣播網站。原以為馬上可以聽到兒子略帶沙啞的聲音。沒想到該網站一片寂靜，什麽聲音都沒有：既沒有廣播，也沒有廣播前的音樂。擔心自己電腦的音響出了問題，我連忙試了一下別的帶音響的網站，一切正常。說明是兒子他們的廣播出了問題。

查了一下，兒子不在孤狗Talk上；就給他發了一封短信，問為什麽聽不到他們的廣播。大概半個小時後，兒子回信，說今晚因為廣播電台故障，你可能聽不到了。我有點失望，盡管不知道到底出了什麽事，至少是希望他們不是三分鍾的熱情，玩了兩次就散了。

今天忙了一天的工作。等晚上回到家，還是難以忘懷，就給兒子打電話，問他昨晚怎麽沒有廣播。兒子說，電台出故障了，同時也不能連網播音，所以聽不到即時節目。但今天下午，他們已經將昨晚的播音，放到他們的網站上，和以前的幾期合在一起了。兒子說，你還是可以聽到的。同時，也可看到我寫的報道。

讀了兒子的報道，才知道昨晚的事情：廣播電台出了故障，他們的廣播不得不停。但為了讓他們的“loyal listeners”滿意，也為了那位從多倫多“特約”來的Soccer Aficionado不枉此行，他們連夜用自己的手提電腦，錄下了應該播放的節目。今天按時放到了網上；兒子還專門寫文表達了對聽眾的歉意。

下麵是兒子的報道：

Dear loyal listeners,

Last night, Sunday September 26th, we showed up to the studio at 10:10pm in anticipation of our show. Our friends from Non-Toxic Airwaves let us in, and also informed us that the station had been having some trouble. Apparently, the online stream at Sound FM was out of commission. Furthermore, on your radio dial, CKMS 100.3 FM also wasn't working. Nor was the third method of listening to us in K-W, turning your television to Rogers channel 946. As none of these methods were operational, we decided to make the best of what we had. We quickly decided to continue with the show – however, we were going to distribute this one as a podcast. So, using Tom's laptop, we recorded the show, and it will available on our website tonight.

The recording process was unique and an interesting experience. It's a fair bit different from not being live on the air and talking into a microphone. Nonetheless, we had a great time in studio, like we always do, and our Soccer Aficionado Eric Arajs came down from Toronto to be on-air with us. Thus, the show had to go on! After an hour or so of soccer talk, we switched gears and covered the world of sports. Then near the end of the second hour, the laptop ran out of juice, so we quickly wrapped up the show, but not before announcing the winner of the two Toronto Maple Leaf tickets graciously provided by our new sponsor, Morty's Pub. After putting the names of all of our Facebook and Twitter followers into a hat, the lucky winner is… Michael Marcoccia! Congratulations Mike, hope you enjoy tonight's game.

All in all, a new twist to hosting the radio show, but we'll be back better than ever next Sunday.
