PC can not boot, please help

Because my old mobo died, I bought the new mobo and ram, after assembling them
together, starting up, look at bios setting up, they are fine, recognize all
my staff, HD, DVD, cpu, ram correctly. However, when it is about to start
win2k, it stop at logo screen, the safe mode doesn't work either. I am
wonderring what are happenning here. I thought my new hardware looks working
fine.

Here is what staff changed. my old mobo is 1.5Ghz, 850 chip w/ 256 rdram, the
new one is 2.0Ghz, 848 chip, 1Ghz DDR. Is it possible the info in the HD is
still old, it can not read the new mobo, i mean the chip. So, if this is the
case, the worseast thing i have to do is to re-intall the whole system again.
Will it solve it. 請大家幫忙, 祝大家春節快樂.
