If you have done some microprocessor designs, you will know designing a microprocessor is not hard at all compared to other chips such as graphics and network designs. The success depends on how many people you can convince to use your processor.
The problem with 龍芯 is that it is MIPS compatible, not Intel/AMD compatible. Another word, you can not run any popular software using 龍芯 based computer.
龍芯 is targeting MIPS based Linux OS, such as Red Flag Linux. This is a totally different market.
Another word, before you get angry, you need to know what you are talking about. AMD's trategy is toward Intel, not 龍芯.
