remove Adware_Virtumundo

does anyone know how to remove this virus? I googled the name and found a few very similiar solutions from a few forums, but all requires running of 4 programs HiJackThis,VundoFix.exe,CleanUp and ActiveScan, I don't know if those programs are safe to run. can anyone help?
