VCD has very low resolution

352x240 (NTSC) or 352x288 (PAL). All pictures from
digital cameras or scannned have much higher resolution
(normally higher than 2048 * 1536). When converting to
VCD you'll loose a lot of information. As long as it can
be watch on TV, your parents will be happy.
