I don't know which brand & model of pocket PC you are referring to but my Sony Ericsson Smart phone P910i does have both functions. The Bluetooth is for data tranferring such as upload/download pictures or songs, for online I use the GPRS.
Look at phones or pocket PC review on cnet.com,it should tells what you want to know about Pocket PC.
