the whole story of my problem

it all happened 2 days ago when i started my computer it stopped at the blue "welcome" screen & wouldn't continue unless i activated windows. so i called the windows support centre & re-activated windows. everything was still there except all my network connctions that i have set up in place were gone. i've been adviced its best if i restore my system to the wa it was a few day back...but i can't even though i am the administrator...i have no idea what's wrong and is frustrated & desperately needing any help u can give me...thank u in advance....
