i didn't even read his post. but generally it's like this:
the store (eg.CC) that is selling a product for higher price may match some other store's advertised lower price. ie, the original store (CC) will give you the same or lower price, then you send in the rebate(s) and with luck get your money back...
problem is, stores will wise up thesedays and may deny your rebates so better be carefull.
i know best buy will nullify your rebate request if it's price matched.
