Read My Previous Post. You can test if it is the specific disk USB driver bad or the system USB universe dirver bad by plugging in another USB disk.
For disk USB, use the CD come with your disk purchase; for system USB, use the system backup and restore utilities CD to restore. Again, CLEAN the old USB driver first! Otherwise, it won't work
