Currnt config of mine (bought in 2000)
CPU 700mHz
RAM 384m (original 128m)
HD 40g
video 16m
dvd rom
cd rw
2 channel sound card

I use it for everything including document editing (with MS Office 2000), sound editing (with CoolEditor), video editing (with ULead) and software development (with Visual Studio .Net 2003), etc.
