Use some better disk management software to figure out what happened, such as Parttition Magic etc. It seems you lost the information of HD partitions. Fdisk cannot help you on it. This is not a boot up problem. If just operating system failed, it still can be recognized by another PC ( at least your D: should be find out).
It seems you did sth on your HD.
