useful features for laptops. yes it does cost some hard drive space but worth it when you want to resume your work after some interruption where you have to close your laptop to save battery power.
I believe 1G or even 2G of hard drive is negligible since laptops having this amount of memory usually come with big hard drives. Reasonable isn't it?
